Proverbs 13:7 "There are some who pretend to be rich, yet have nothing. There are some who pretend to be poor, yet have great wealth."
Ecclesiastes 1:9 "That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which it may be said, "See this is new?"
Ecclesiastes 5:12 "The sleep of a laboring man is sweet, Whether he eats little or much, But the abundance of the rich will not permit him to sleep."
Welcome, to the Black Card Club!
Please, share your great knowledge with us. Stories have been written about your excessive wealth. A swipe of your card and it's a luxury jet with the who's who of celebrities at your side. Oh, aren't they writing songs about your rock star experiences?
I'm sorry to report, it's all fake. If it's money and power you are chasing, your gonna find the love is only one sided. Granted, you can purchase as many friends as you would like but one day the ride will end. Everywhere you look, the world is deceiving you. Look what the Jones have! Spend! Spend! Spend! Work! Work! Work! Isn't life fun.
So tell me something new? Tell me what you have done that has not been done a million times. Men are looking for money and power while the women simply strive for beauty. Just a few hundred years ago, the benchmark of beauty was overweight and ghostly white. Men still dress in their suits, gossip about great ventures here and great ventures there. When it all ends, they still breath the same air and return to the same earth. What is the reward for such toil.
Finally, a little advice. Think back of a time when you were the happiest. What did you have in your life? Who were your friends and what did you do? I'm sure it was a time when life was care free and you were broke. There was no lifestyle to uphold. Your friends were with you because they loved you and not because you purchased them. A poor man sleeps sound while the rich are in constant guard of their possessions. My advise is to spend more time with your family. Take your partner out to dinner or just tell them that you love them. If you have children, spend a little quality time with them. This is God's true blessing. Enjoy the fruits of your labor. Last and most important, it might be a good idea to find God! Perhaps a little effort is in order. The famous picture by Michelangelo shows man's half hearted effort to reach for God. This love is a two way street and an everlasting path.
